Who Hannah is

Hannah grew up in a small farming community in Northern Ontario. Being surrounded by nature and structures with an agricultural vernacular she found her passion for the field of architecture. Determined to uphold her Northern roots, Hannah pursued her academic journey at Laurentian University’s esteemed McEwen School of Architecture, culminating in the successful completion of both her undergraduate and Master’s degrees. She is currently pursing licensure through the OAA Internship in Architecture Program.

Outside the studio, Hannah frequently dedicates her time in the creative pursuits of painting and drawing, enjoys reading, or returning home to the North to spend time with her family.

“Architecture impacts people everyday, why not make it memorable?”

Hannah holds a book, Alvar Aalto, up covering all of her face but her eyes as she looks to the right.

What Hannah Does

As a Junior Project Lead, Hannah assumes the pivotal responsibility of overseeing and coordinating project development. Through collaborative team efforts, her primary objective is to cultivate designs that align with the studio’s core principles and values. She continues to consider the impact of all projects on its users and how their lives might be impacted through architecture.

Why Hannah Does it

Hannah recognizes the profound influence that architecture has on individuals' daily experiences. With a meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to aesthetic excellence, she ensures that her designs are both functional and visually appealing. Guided by this philosophy, she endeavors to create architectural spaces that not only serve their purpose effectively but also leave a lasting, positive imprint on those who engage with them.

Giving

To fulfill our commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility, every member of the Unity team has chosen an organization that aligns with their personal values and purpose. Unity has made a donation on behalf of each team member to their chosen organization.

Why Hannah chose: Diabetes Canada

“ I chose Diabetes Canada because I have a deep personal connection with the cause. Not only have I been a Type 1 Diabetic (T1D) for most of my life, but I was blessed to be offered the best technology that was available. Every day these technologies are advancing, making it easier for those with T1D to live and manage the disease. Diabetes Canada makes it possible for research and technology to continuously develop by donating to multiple research efforts across Canada. Their cause is a great reminder to all who have T1D that WE CAN DO ANYTHING (except produce insulin).”
